Woods Excavating cuts foundation excavations and building pads for concrete and building contractors: structural excavation and backfill, sheet-pile shoring where a foundation goes in against a property line or a neighboring building, proof-rolled subgrades, and compaction records the engineer can file. Interior work covers slab preparation, structural fill placed and fine graded to the pour, and lightweight fill such as foamed glass aggregate where the soils call for it. Grades are held by GPS machine control, open excavations are protected excavations, and the concrete crew starts on the number the plan shows.
