Bridge earthwork

Woods Excavating builds the earthwork on either side of a bridge as the site subcontractor to bridge contractors: approach excavation, structural backfill, subgrade compacted to bridge tolerances, drainage, and the roadway carried onto the structure, staged under live traffic. Aggregate comes from the company's two pits in Standish and Buxton on company trucks, and compaction and sequencing are run to the settlement tolerances the structure requires.
