Insurance & bonding
Fully insured; certificates furnished on request. Bonding available for contract work: bonded public work includes the 2017 I-95 off-ramp culvert for the City of Saco and a 2023 20-inch HDPE water main for the Portland Water District, both delivered on schedule under liquidated damages.
Fleet & capacity
Excavators from 8,000 to 90,000 lb with GPS machine control, dozers, loaders, compaction, a full crushing fleet, trucks, and lowbed. The full fleet is published, with rates.
Workforce
Foreman-led crews under a general superintendent: project management, operators, CDL drivers, mechanics, and a GPS layout crew under one roof, with company-paid training behind them.
Scope we self-perform
Self-performed scope means schedule control.
- Commercial site development. Full site packages from clearing through finish grade.
- Underground utilities. Water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage, with in-house trench protection and pipe-testing equipment.
- Earthwork & mass excavation. Bulk excavation at scale, with the fleet to load, haul, and place efficiently.
- Roads & infrastructure. Subgrade, gravels, drainage structures, and traffic coordination.
- Aggregate production. Crushing, screening, and stockpiling on company equipment at two owned pits; material delivered on our trucks.
- Foundations, demolition, and winter services. Foundation prep, structure demolition, and 24/7 commercial snow operations.
- Ledge removal. Hydraulic breaking and removal on site.
Safety and compliance
Safety, quality, then speed. That order is the operating rule on every Woods job.
Trained, on the company
Crew certifications include OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and Certified Erosion Control Practices. Woods pays for employee credentials: Trimble GPS training and AGC coursework including first aid and leadership.
Regulated operations
The aggregate operation runs under MSHA rules, managed every working day. Everyone inside our pits follows them.
Equipped for the public way
Owned traffic-control and site-safety equipment, water trucks for dust, and sweepers behind our trucks.

EMR and complete safety documentation are available to qualifying contractors and owners as part of the prequalification package.
Project record and references
A bonded I-95 off-ramp culvert replaced in a single weekend for the City of Saco. A bonded 20-inch HDPE water main for the Portland Water District, delivered on schedule in 2023. More than ten school projects. Private commercial work for AutoZone, Chase Bank, and Tractor Supply. Current work includes the Dolley Farm 42-unit subdivision in Windham.
